The Toyota Aygo (sold overseas) is a fun car. To prove it, Toyota enlisted the help of four singing comedians, placed them in a nearby Aygo and filmed them as they pranked unsuspecting passers-by. The resulting Toyota Aygo video is a laugh riot.
The pranks are truly funny, and most importantly, no one gets hurt. The comedians, safely concealed in the Aygo, spontaneously come up with songs about passers-by, as the passers-by approach a large X painted on the pavement. With these songs, the comedians convince people to do silly things. For instance, they actually manage to get construction workers to share a sausage roll as if they are the canine lovers in Lady and the Tramp.
The prank was part of a wider campaign begun in July that Toyota calls “Go Fun Yourself.” The theme of fun and laughter–and pranks–will color the automaker’s social media content and online presence.
Though you can’t get the Aygo in the US, we here at Dick Dyer Toyota believe you can have fun in any Toyota model!
The Fun Isn’t Over for the Muppets and the Toyota Highlander
Although the Super Bowl was two months ago, people are still loving Toyota’s Super Bowl commercial, featuring America’s favorite gang of Muppets, the all-new Toyota Highlander, and Terry Crews from FOX’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Since that original commercial, Toyota has put out several follow-up videos in an effort to satisfy America’s craving for funny and heart-warming moments with the Muppets and their favorite car, the Toyota Highlander.
There are plenty of Muppet videos to choose from, but our all-time favorites have to be the Blooper Reels and a video simply titled “Boop!” Between the laughter and the fun, it is clear that there is no room for boring in the 2014 Toyota Highlander. Let’s be serious, you can’t have boring when the Muppets are involved!
Here are our favorite new installments of the Muppets and the Toyota Highlander. Check out Toyota’s YouTube page to see all of the latest videos and commercials.
The Muppets Blooper Reel
“Boop!” Starring Animal, Dr. Teeth, and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew
From an all-purple dressed Kaley Cuoco to a Chihuahua in a beret to the all-new RAV4, last year’s Toyota Super Bowl commercial was a hit. Since probably half of the people watching the Super Bowl only care about the commercials, it is no surprise that people are eager to see what Toyota has up its sleeve this year.
Enter the unlikely duo of the Muppets and Terry Crews, Star of FOX’s “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and former NLF player. Throw in the new Toyota Highlander and the commercial is complete. Confused? Allow us to elaborate.
When Crews comes across a broken down bus while driving in his Highlander, he graciously offers his help to the unfortunate travelers. Things quickly get out of hand, however, when a mob of Muppets appear and take over Crews’ all-new Highlander. Thanks to its spacious and accommodating interior though, all the Muppets fit in just fine.
But there isn’t room for something: Boring. The Muppets show an uptight Crews that the Highlander is meant for fun and when you reach the end of the commercial, I think we can all agree Crews breaks out of his shell and embraces the “No Room for Boring” attitude with his new Muppet friends.
In addition to the commercial, the Muppets will be traveling to the Super Bowl in their very own Highlander and will be live tweeting their wild ride. Anyone can be a part of the fun by tweeting @Toyota or using the hashtag #NoRoomForBoring.
Check out the commercial for yourself and get ready for some fun and laughs during the premiere of this spot on Super Bowl Sunday as well.
It’s safe to say that everyone loved the RAV4 Genie featured on Toyota’s Super Bowl commercial a few months back. The always lovely Kaley Cuoco brought the convenience and versatility of the 2013 Toyota RAV4 to life in this commercial and gave us some laughs too.
Well guess what? The RAV4 Genie is back! And dare we say this commercial is the funniest one yet? Yeah, we are going there.
Check out this installment of the RAV4 Genie in “Baby Translator.” You won’t be disappointed:
Toyota’s Super Bowl commercial this year featured actress and beloved public figure Kaley Cuoco as a genie who granted wishes while effortlessly toting around her beret-wearing Chihuahua. Of course one of the wishes that she granted was an all-new Toyota RAV4, with a new, more modern rear liftgate.
Well, the RAV4 genie is back with a new installment of “Wish Granted.” Check it out below to see not only the all-new Toyota RAV4 but also Kaley as the purple-clad genie.
