After revealing special editions for the Corolla and Camry at the Chicago Auto Show several months ago, Toyota has finally released pricing information for both models—and we’re quite pleased.
The 2016 Toyota Corolla Special Edition is based on the Corolla S Plus trim, with numerous upgrades including Smart Key with push-button start, unique floor mats, black upholstery with contrast red stitching, gloss-black 17” alloys, special badging, paddle shifters, disc brakes, and a sport driving mode. Eight thousand models will be built in black, white, or red. It will be priced at $20,635, which is only $3,685 more than the base Corolla L!
The 2016 Toyota Camry Special Edition might be even more of a steal. Based on the Camry SE, it features two-tone 18” alloys, smoked taillamps, a power moonroof, adjustable sports seats with blue trim, an upgraded audio system, a special instrument cluster, Smart Key with push-button start, inductive phone charging, and special badging. Under the hood is the 2.5-liter four-cylinder paired to a six-speed automatic. Twelve thousand examples will be made in white or blue, with pricing set to $25,715—that’s just $2,745 more than the base Camry!
Expect both the Corolla and Camry Special Editions to become available at Dick Dyer Toyota mid-August, with production carrying through January 2016!
