For one reason or another, minivans have gotten a bum rap after all of these years. They’re unfairly deemed as the antithesis of cool despite all of their potential to house cool things (e.g. you, your kids, your kids’ stuff…unless you aren’t cool, that is).
In order to help let some of the trappings of the minivan label fall away, automakers have taken to finding fancy new ways to refer to their big people movers. The 2015 Toyota Sienna, for example, has the arguably the best nom de zoom of them all: Swagger Wagon.
Oh yeah, that beats minivan by a sight.
But don’t get it confused: the 2015 Toyota Sienna is still a minivan in all the best ways possible. It’s a competent people mover that seats up to eight and is easy to enter and exit with dual power sliding doors and easy-access third-row seating.
There’s nothing stilted or lame about the 2015 Sienna, and its performance is as good a reason as any: not only is the Sienna powered by a capable 3.5-liter V6 that puts out 266 horsepower while returning an impressive EPA-estimated 25 highway mpg, but it’s available in an AWD configuration that makes it perfect for blustery weather ahead.
Add to that the superlative safety features—from the available Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Pre-Collision System, and front and rear sonar parking assist to the standard Star Safety System™ suite—and the 2015 Sienna is the ideal vehicle for transporting your family around town.
Oh, and did we mention that it looks good, too? We’d be inclined to say that it’s a real looker for a minivan, but if you recall, the 2015 Sienna is a Swagger Wagon.
